The Festive Season can sometimes feel quite the opposite. It’s a great time to see loved ones and visit family, but if you’re the primary carer for someone with complex special needs, chronic health conditions or the elderly, the holidays can be quite overwhelming.
That’s where we come in – we understand the strain that often comes with being a carer at this time of year. Our services are designed to support both our clients and their loved ones in making daily life as productive and enjoyable as possible while maintaining independence.
Newcastle and Hunter Community Health is a local family-owned privately owned and operated company focused on person-centred care. We are an approved NDIS and Aged Care provider led by highly qualified Nurses offering quality in-home care tailored to the individual needs of our clients and their carers.
Our services are many and varied. Our clinical care services include community nursing care for people with high care needs and allied health and therapy services including speech therapy, podiatry, occupational therapy, physiotherapy and hearing and vision services.
We can assist with personal care, nutrition, hydration, meal preparation and dietary needs, including feeding services if required.
We offer support with travel and transportation to daytime activities, medical appointments, supported shopping, social activities and the like, and importantly, we can provide respite for carers.
General household services such as cleaning, home and yard maintenance and laundry are also part of our service offering. Essentially, we can assist with any task that ensures our clients and their carers can live the best life possible.
